Terms of Service

Sevro is an informational tool that detects likely recurring charges from a bank statement you upload. It is not financial advice, and it does not access your bank or cancel anything on your behalf. Please read these terms carefully.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Sevro ("Sevro," "we," "us") governing your use of Sevro(the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

1. The Service

Sevro lets you upload a bank-statement CSV, which is parsed in your browser, and then identifies charges that appear to recur so you can review them. Detection is automated and based solely on the data you provide.

2. Eligibility and your account

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. You're responsible for the activity under your account and for keeping your password confidential. Provide accurate information when you sign up, and let us know promptly of any unauthorized use.

3. Your data and content

You retain all rights to the data you upload. You grant us a limited license to process it solely to provide the Service to you. You represent that you have the right to upload the statements you import (for example, that the account is yours or you're authorized to use it). You can delete your data and account at any time from Account → Delete account. How we handle your data is described in our Privacy Policy.

4. Sevro Pro and billing

The core of Sevro is free. We also offer a paid plan, Sevro Pro, which unlocks additional features (such as analytics and email alerts). The price and what's included are shown in the app on the upgrade screen before you pay.

  • Subscription and renewal. Sevro Pro is a recurring subscription that automatically renews at the end of each billing period (for example, monthly) at the then-current price until you cancel.
  • Payments. Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not collect or store your full card details. By subscribing, you authorize us, through Stripe, to charge your payment method for each renewal.
  • Cancellation. You can cancel at any time from Account → Manage billing. Your Pro features stay active through the end of the period you've already paid for, and you won't be charged again after that.
  • Refunds.Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable, and we don't provide partial refunds for the unused portion of a billing period.
  • Price changes.We may change Sevro Pro's price or features. We'll give reasonable advance notice of a price increase, which takes effect on your next renewal; if you don't agree, you can cancel before then.
  • Taxes. Prices may not include applicable taxes, which may be added at checkout.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • upload data you don't have the right to use, or anyone else's financial information without authorization;
  • use the Service for any unlawful purpose;
  • attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, probe, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or other users' data;
  • upload malware or attempt to overload or abuse the Service.

6. Not financial advice

Sevro is an informational and organizational tool only. It does notprovide financial, accounting, tax, or legal advice. Detected "recurring charges," estimated next-charge dates, price-change flags, and any savings figures are automated estimates derived from the data you provide and may be incomplete or inaccurate. Sevro does not connect to your bank and cannot cancel, pause, or change any subscription — you are solely responsible for reviewing the information and making your own financial decisions.

7. Availability and changes

The Service is currently in limited testing and is offered on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time, and we don't guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that detection results will be accurate or complete.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sevro will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or savings, arising from or related to your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

10. Termination

You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or to protect the Service or its users.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec, Canada, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll revise the "Last updated" date above, and your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
